Refunds will not be given for cancellations made within 7 days of arrival. Bookings cancelled with a minimum of 7 days notice will receive a full refund, except for bookings cancelled during the peak Christmas holiday period (25 December to 31 January) which will require a minimum of 30 days notice.
Children of all ages are welcome. To see correct prices and occupancy info, add the number and ages of children in your reservation search.
The Monty doesn't offer extra beds and unfortunately has no capacity for cribs. If you are travelling with children, you are welcome to bring your own portacot.
In the event of any contents are broken or damaged during your stay, the cost of replacing or repairing such breakages or damages will be charged to your credit card.
If excessive cleaning time is required to return the room to our standards, an additional cleaning fee will be charged to your credit card.
Nearby, there's plenty of great dining options! For dinner, we recommend The Coast Restaurant and Last One Inn. For lunches with a view, you can't go past Lovehouse at the Anglesea Surf Club.
Our cantina is opening in early 2026. You can enjoy fun, casual Mexican-style cuisine at The Monty. Our all-day menu is takeaway friendly - serving tacos, share plates and poolside snacks, as well as margaritas whenever you're feeling thirsty!
While we love animals, unfortunately this property is not pet-friendly.
The Monty permits medical assistance animals.
Assistance animals are defined under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 as animals accredited or trained to assist a person with a disability to alleviate the effect of their disability. This includes, but is not limited to:
guide dogs
service animals to aid people with medical conditions or sensory disabilities by performing tasks related to the person’s disability.
dogs trained to assist people who have seizures.
The Monty may request evidence that an animal:
is trained specifically to assist in alleviating the effects of a disability
is accredited by an animal training organisation prescribed in the regulations.

A pre-payment deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged to the nominated credit card 7 days prior to arrival, except during the peak Christmas holiday period (25 December to 31 January) where it will be charged 30 days prior.
Credit card payments attract a 1.5% surcharge.

Check-in is available from 2pm.
Check-out is at 10am. Late check-out is subject to availability and at an additional cost.
Smoking is strictly not permitted on the property. Evidence of smoking in rooms will result in an additional charge of the nightly room rate.
Anglesea is a charming seaside town located on the Great Ocean Road.
By day, explore local cafes and shops, or get adventurous with surfing or nature walks. Coogoorah Park and the Anglesea River are a hub of activity - with a boardwalk, walking tracks, bird and wildlife spotting, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boats and stand-up paddleboarding.
By night, discover local restaurants and wine bars, or enjoy the dark skies above the Surf Coast - ideal for stargazing.
Slightly further afield, explore the stunning waterfalls of the Great Otway National Park or drive along the coast to the spectacular 12 Apostles.
